My sweetheart . . .

Miss M had two firsts today: first time sitting up in a shopping cart and first time sitting up in a restaurant high chair. I can’t believe how fast she’s growing up! On Friday, she didn’t even sit up unaided. And today she does!
All of a sudden, pretty much overnight, M seems to stay sitting up on her own! On another note, she had an adverse reaction to an antibiotic this past week, so she’s still working on getting her tummy back to normal, and we’re holding off on trying any new foods until that’s all better. Not sure if I’ve written about it or not, but every morning Izzie pushes her way into M’s room. I think she wakes the baby up, so I will get up and she’ll get her breakfast. No matter what the motivation, Izzie just loves being where M is, and keeps a close watch on her.
At pretty much exactly 6 months old, M has her first two teeth. I finally got a photo worth posting.
Can’t believe our little girl is already 6 months old. That’s half of a year, in case you didn’t know. Seems like we just had her, and that she’s been with us forever. She’s such a joy and such a sweetheart. She’s our everything.
Official Stats at 6 months old: 15 lbs, 14 oz and 26.5 inches long/tall.
Tonight we discovered that M has a tooth coming in, possibly even two, on the bottom! My little girl is growing up fast. Sorry, it’s nearly impossible to get a picture of this!
So far she’s had bananas, pears and SWEET potatoes. Slowly but surely she’s learning to open wide for a bite.
It’s gotten bad around here. I fear my child’s first word will be four-lettered. So we’ve drafted a list of off-limits words and posted them on the fridge. What? She can’t read yet! It’s $1 per bad word, and it’s a competition, so we each have a jar. We aren’t messing around here. (PS – You can still curse in front of my kid, you’ll just be that Aunt, or Uncle who says the bad words).
. . . at least she loves chewing on them.
