And now it’s coming to an end. Boo. I finally know what time and on what channel I can find Ellen and Oprah. I know where all the Mom & Baby yoga classes are in town. I can get Miss M ready and leave the house in less than 10 minutes. I finally feel like I can put her down and she can entertain herself long enough to make a meal, and pay some bills. I think I could actually squeeze in some pushups and situps, if I was so inclined. I’m into the routine. We’ve got bathtime down (with 2 adults). We’ve got formula feeding mastered. There are so many things I wanted to do with Margeaux and Ryan while on Maternity Leave, and we’ve just started them. We visited a museum the other day, but I’d love to do some hiking, more walking, and was really hoping to be back into pre-pregnancy clothes by now (I’m giving up and buying larger pants, and I am OK with that!). Two more weeks. Daycare practice days start next week. Back to work 3 days a week the week after. I suppose once I am back to work, we’ll figure that out too. I’ve decided however, that you should not have to return to work until your kid sleeps 8 hours a night.

I had to buy new pants to go back to work too. I really thought it would all happen faster. I’m back to my pre-baby weight now, but my tummy is definitely not the same yet.
Good luck getting into the new routine! I totally know what you mean about just getting your groove now. Just when things are starting to get easier and more fun it’s time to go back to work… Let me know if you want to chat. Talking to other mommies can help. And bring lots of pictures!
