I LASTED 2 AND A HALF WEEKS

I quit Weight Watchers. I’m surprised I lasted this long. Anyone who knows me, knows I love to eat, and I love sweets! I fell off the wagon at Little Mark’s BBQ in Vernon on Thursday night. I had to get the pulled pork sandwich. They did have a few salads on the menu, but I feared they would be iceberg-out-of-a-bag-with-little-shredded-carrots kinda salads. I also had baked beans, and sampled some of Ryan’s fried okra. It took me back to good ol‘ Terrel’s BBQ parked in the Winn Dixie parking lot in Gvilleyuuummmeee. On Friday, we got Mexican from Coyote Flaco for our company lunch. I passed on the chicken burrito and had a veggie one instead. I did have lots of nachos and beans & rice. Sarah looked at me funny when, while we were cleaning up, I snagged a nice peice of leftover cheesy goodness from the platter – I think I summed things up when I said, “I’M BACK!” I think Ryan and my co-workers were proud of me for lasting 2 weeks. And I did lose 6 lbs, even though I only went to the gym 2 or 3 times. Hopefully it has educated me, and I will think twice about what I eat and make more educated decisions.

I got up early today to have a dog fence guy come over. It isn’t going to fit into my $600 stimulus package budget, but it would fit into the budget if we used both our checks (Ryan’s hasn’t come yet). And I am sure it’s cheaper than a regular fence, which I don’t want. I’ve got another company for an estimate this afternoon and I have a feeling they are going to be more expensive. I’m adding a random picture of Izzie running on the ball field where we play catch – just because she’s cute.

We went to a great performance by a few of Ryan’s friends last night at a church in downtown Hartford. I’m not much of a church-goer, but I do love checking out the architecture. This specific is 375 years old (although I’d like to know how old the actual building is). Ok, I just looked on their website, it was build in 1807. The stained glass was put in around 1900. Anyhow, I think it’s really neat to go to churches in the evening. The light is so different than on a Sunday morning. I enjoy watching the stained glass scenes change and eventually disappear as the sun goes down.

Thanks to Colleen for encouraging me to find out how to take videos on my fancy camera. It was so simple! Please to enjoy: Izzie playing with the rope . . . (this is a short clip, she could do this for ten minutes straight) . . .
